Nancy Rabun, 61, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Tampa, died on Christmas Eve.
She was born in Mansfield, OH, to Eugene and Rosalee Henness Drapeau, and grew up in Yuma, AZ, and Tampa. After earning her LPN at Brewster Technical School, she worked for 12 years at Women’s Hospital and in other home health and assisted living settings. She loved cats, crafts, Christmas, and the Rays and Bucs. She enjoyed relaxing vacations on cruises and at the beach and visits to family. As a teenager she won many bowling awards and was active in Rainbow Girls and Girl Scouts.
Her husband of 22 years, Kinney Y. Rabun, died in 1999. She is survived by 2 cousins, Joy Whittington, Burke, VA, and Jane Henry, Idaho Falls, ID; brother-in-law, Jim Rabun; her cat, Precious; and her dear friend, Carol Hurley, of St. Petersburg.
Graveside services will be 11AM on Wednesday, December 29th at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, with burial alongside her husband. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friends of Strays, St. Petersburg.

Nancy was my next door neighbor growing up as a teenager.We went to junior high and high school together. Our parents were good friends. She was a very thoughtful person and will be missed.
