Jimmie “Walleye” Wallace, age 76, experienced ultimate healing, and was reunited with his father, mother, brother, and sisters in heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 30, 2010.
Jim was a former firefighter for the City of Dayton Ohio, avid hunter/outdoorsman, outdoor writer, member of Outdoor Writers Association of America, and self proclaimed “ordinary blue collar Christian”. He has authored numerous magazine articles, newspaper columns, and booklets over the years. One particular project he enjoyed was his column in the Journal Herald newspaper called “Outdoors with Walleye Wallace”.
Jim attended Jefferson Twp High School. He enlisted in the navy 2 weeks before the end of the Korean conflict. He always said that “they quit because they heard I was coming”. He served 4 years in the Navy as a Ship’s Carpenter.
Jim has been involved with multiple churches over the years in Ohio, Michigan, and Florida. He was formerly the Senior Commander of the Royal Rangers at Northridge Assembly of God in Dayton.
Jim battled many physical issues through his later years, but was often heard to say “God is good, and Life’s still good”.

My sympathy and prayers to all his loved ones.
Jim a Great Friend.I know he is with the Lord. A great man and great fisherman.I will miss him.
Our deepest sympathy to all the family. May he rest in peace.
To Jim’s family,
You are in my heart, my thoughts, and my prayers, and you have my deepest sympathy.
The greatest comfort we have in the time of loss is in knowing that death does not have the last word — Jesus does! We can take comfort in knowing that at such a time we can discover and experience the deepest meaning and sense of the Lord’s tenderness and presence. What Precious Reunions Await Us In Heaven…
“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the GOD OF ALL COMFORT.” — II Corinthians 1:3
In our Lord Jesus’ Love, In Love with our Lord Jesus, The Resurrection and The Life,
Donna Petersen (Jim’s “Forever Friend” from Munising)

I am an old friend of Jim’s from the Upper Peninsula, who use to sit and chat with him about the Lord for hours. Jim will always be to me, someone who was not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. I’ll never forget the stories he told. :)
Here’s to seeing you again one day, old friend.

I had meet Jim three years ago through my mother-in-law who meet him at church. I ended up working for Jim every summer here in Florida . We became great friends, and I will miss him very much. I considered him family. I want to thank Rosemarie for being so helpful, kind, and generous with all her time and energy and taking such good care of Jim for so many years! Jim and all his stories will be missed! Imagine the kind of book he is writing now. Can’t wait to read it one day! God Bless you Jimmie! Love, Susan and family
