My sincere sympathy to you, BJ, and to your family. We really enjoyed getting to know Larry and his wonderful sense of humor. Saturday and Monday breakfasts won’t be the same without him.
I served in Vietnam with Doc Stewart. He was the 2nd platoon medic in B Co. 4th Bn 9th Infantry, 25th Infantry Div. He may have saved a number of lives, but I saw him save one. He was a good man and is well remembered by his buddies. All our best to his family.

What a loss we have, Larry was always so loving and giving to everyone he knew. Larry always made us laugh and feel like we were special and important. Larry, I miss your hugs, your laugh and I will always have ice cream in the freezer. BJ, you are an angel, Larry loved you very much, and just know that he will always be with you, forever. I love you all with all my heart, Carol
I new Larry for such a short time, but glad I met him. He touched my life and will remember him. My thoughts and prayers to BJ and Family.
Please accept my most heartfelt condolences on the loss of Larry. As a brother ham, he was always an “upper” over the air bringing good cheer to all who could hear him. I will miss him for he never had an unkind word for me, but always enouragement. May God have mercy on his soul.
Larry and I shared something most people don’t realize he treated me VN in late 1968. I met him later @ the KS VN reunion and something just clicked that he was the medic that traeted me. Since then we met @ the KS reunion, Larry received many medals for valor. Medics are a special breed, and Doc Stewart was one of the best. I’am honored to have known him.
Your Manchu Brother

Larry came into my life when I was 12 years old as my brother-in-law. He was always there if I needed help. He had a full laugh and met everyone as a friend. Good-bye big guy.
Being a cousin to Larry, we had a few good times together. Working the SCCA races at lake Afton and camping those evenings was never a dull moment. The best was working with Larry at the few Zooballies. My wife and I will truly miss Larry’s visit to Wichita. Our condolences to you “Betty Jo.”
