Bill B. Ranney, 81, of Tampa, Florida funeral services are 4:00 PM, Friday afternoon, January 28. 2011 at the Grace Episcopal Church, 15102 Amberly Drive, Tampa, FL 33647 with Father Benjamin Twinamanni, to officiate. A social gathering will be held at the church. Donations in the memory of Bill B. Ranney are to go to KENYON College. Development Office, 105 Chase Avenue, Gambier, Ohio 43022. Burial will be later in the spring in Canada. Bill passed away at University Community Hospital, Tampa, Florida on January 9, 2011.
A native of Lakewood, OH and a local residence since 2001, when he moved here from Cincinnati, Ohio, Bill was a retire executive with American Shipbuilders; a Protestant and a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. During the Korean War, Bill was awarded the National Defense Medal and discharged at the rank of Sgt.
Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joanne of Tampa, FL; two sons, Keith Ranney of Maui, Hawaii and Michael Ranney and his wife, Mary of Cleveland, Ohio; a daughter, Judith Ranney of Tampa, Florida; a sister, Barbara Fuller of Cleveland, Ohio and five grandchildren.
