Lillian Marion Hendricksen (nee Palm) ,86, of Spring Hill, FL passed away February 13, 2011 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She was born in Staten Island, NY and graduated from Port Richmond High School. She worked for New York Insurance Company in New York City. Lillian married Bernard Hendricksen in 1948 and spent 63 years with her loving husband. They built a house themselves in Griggstown, NJ and moved there in 1952. She then worked for Bambergers department store in Princeton, NJ. Lillian had two children, Laurel and Douglas, and became a stay-at-home mom, lovingly caring for them and her mother, Olanda on Staten Island.
Lillian is predeceased by her three brothers, Frederick Palm, Gordon Palm and William Palm. She is survived by her husband Bernard Hendricksen; her two children, Laurel Zitowsky of Griggstown, NJ and Douglas Hendricksen of Colchester, CT; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Kristen, Meghan, Holly and Danielle and one great granddaughter, Raquel. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association to fund research.
Funeral services are scheduled from Nativity Lutheran Church, 6363 Commercial Way, Brooksville, Florida on February 22, 2011 at 11am. Interment at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida immediately following her services.
