DEAR LINDA
AFTER THE PAST FEW DAYS I HAVE LOOKED UP AT WHAT WE WITNESSED TOGETHER IN THAT HOSPITAL AND HER IS SOMETHING I PUT TOGETHER
WEEP,NOT WEEP NOT
HE IS NOT DEAD
HE IS RESTING IN THE BOSOM OF JESUS
HEARTBROKEN SOULMATE-WEEP NO MORE!
GRIEF STRICKEN SON WEEP NO MORE!
LEFT LONESOME DAUGHTER WEEP NO MORE!
HE’S ONLY JUST GONE HOME.
A FEW DAYS AGO, GOD WAS LOOKING DOWN FROM HIS GREAT HIGH HEAVEN,LOOKING DOWN ON ALL HIS CHILDREN,
AND HIS EYE FELL ON JOHN
TOSSING ON HIS BED OF PAIN
AND GODS BIG HEART WAS TOUCHED WITH PITY;WITH AN EVERLASTING PITTY.
AND GOD SAT BACK ON HIS THRONE
AND HE COMMANDED THAT TALL ,BRIGHT ANGEL STANDING AT HIS RIGHT HAND;
CALL ME DEATH.
AND THAT TALL BRIGHT ANGEL CRIED IN A LOUD VOICE THAT BROKE LIKE A CLAP OF THUNDER
CALL DEATH- CALL DEATH
AND THE ECHO SOUNDED DOWN THE STREETS OF HEVEN TIL IT REACHED WAY BACK TO THAT SHADOWY PLACE,WHERE DEATH WAITS WITH HIS PALE WHITE, HORSES
AND DEATH HEARD THE SUMMONS,AND HE LEAPED ON HIS FASTEST HOURSE,PALE AS A SHEET IN THE MOONLIGHT.
UP THE GOLDEN STREET DEATH GALLOPED AND THE HOOVES OF HIS HOURSE STRUCK FIRE FROM THE GOLD. BUT THEY DIDN’T MAKE ANY SOUND.
UP DEATH DEATH RODE TO THAT GREAT WHITE THRONE AND WAITED FOR GODS COMMAND
AND GOD SAID;GO DOWN DEATH,GO DOWN
GO DOWN TO BAY PINES
AND FIND ME JOHN
HES BORNE THE BURDEN AND THE HEAT OF THE DAY,HES LABORED LONG IN MY VINEYARD
AND HES TIRED
HES WEARY-GO DOWN DEATH AND BRING HIM TO ME.
AND DEATH DIDNT SAY A WORD,BUT HE LOOSED THE REINS ON HIS PALE WHITE HORSE
AND HE CLAMPED THE SPURS TO HIS BLOODLESS SIDES,AND OUT AND DOWN HE RODE THROUGH HEAVENS PEARLY GATES,PASSED SUNS,MOONS AND STARS.
ON DEATH DEATH RODE LEAVING THE LIGHTING’S FLASH BEHIND
STRIGHT DOWN HE CAME.
WHILE WE WERE WATCHING ROUND HIS BED,HE TURNED HIS EYES AND LOOKED AWAY HE SAW WHAT WE COULDNT SEE,HE SAW OLD DEATH COMING LIKE A FALLING STAR
BUT DEATH DIDN’T FRIGHTEN JOHN
HE LOOKED TO HIM LIKE A WELCOME FRIEND.
AND HE WHISPERED TO US;I’M GOING HOME.
AND HE SMILED AND CLOSED HIS EYES
AND DEATH TOOK HIM UP LIKE A BABY,AND HE LAY IN HIS ICY ARMS,BUT HE DIDNT FEEL NO CHILL
AND DEATH BEGAN TO RIDE AGAIN
UP BEYOND THE EVENING STAR
INTO THE GLITTERING LIGHT OF GOLORY
ON TO THE GREAT WHITE THRONE
AND THERE HE LAID JOHN
ON THE LOVING BREAST OF JESUS
AND THE ANGLES SANG A LITTLE SONG
AND JESUS TOOK HIS ON HAND AND WIPED AWAY HIS TEARS
AND HE SMOOTHED THE FURROWS FROM HIS FACE
AND JESUS ROCKED HIM IN HIS ARM’S AND KEPT SAYING,TAKE YOUR REST
TAKE YOUR REST
WEEP NOT
HE IS NOT DEAD
HE IS RESTING IN THE BOSOM OF
JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always a friend.
We learned from you.

Dear Linda and Family,
We loved John both personally and professionally and will miss his ’stop-bys’ a lot. What a fun filled and honest man – remembering him will always keep laughter in our hearts. Jimmy & Sue
Linda, We are so sorry to hear of John’s passing and hope your immediate future will be peaceful and calm as we know that is finally how John is. We always appreciated how much time and interest he took in our shared home.
In thinking of John we think of laughter first and the rest follows. A great hearted man who will be remembered fondly. Our deepest sympathy to Linda and John’s family. Saying good-bye wasn’t easy and yet the love and great memories of a truly cherished man made this a true celebration of a good man’s life.
Dearest Linda, may God comfort you and yours, as only He can, during this difficult time. We will all miss John very much, but know he is with the Lord, and he would want us to celebrate his life rather than grieve; albeit easier said than done. All my love and condolences, Judi
I HAVE KNOWN JOHN SINCE THE 70,S SORRY TO HEAR OF HIS PASSING. I WAS A BARTENDER AT SMUGGLERS INN AT THAT TIME. HE WAS ALWAYS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CUSTOMERS. NOW HIS PAIN IS OVER, AND IS RESTING WITH THE LORD.GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL OF HIS FAMILY.
Linda & John’s Family: You didn’t know me, but I knew John very well. He lived with me and my family for several months when he lived in Miami. Although times were tough at that time for John I will never forget the times we shared. He was a joy to be with. He called me just a little over a year ago to tell me how saddened he was to hear of the death of my son Eric. I can only hope that it will comfort you to know that he is in God’s arms and that Eric was next to God to welcome him into paradise. He was greeted by many friends and will have everlasting life forever. John was a wonderful person and I will always love him. God Bless you all. Candy Paine
Linda my God walk with you in this very difficult time. We loved both of you very much.I was so happy that John bought my car and he loved to tease me about how much He enjoyed it. Take care sweetie and John is in a much better place…… Love you Helen & Dick
Linda, my most sincere condolence. John & I have been friends since our high school days. He will be sorrily missed and never forgotten.
