The family of Jack Gammon, 58, formerly of Syracuse, NY, sadly announce his passing this past Wednesday, March 23, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Jack was born in Syracuse on 1/24/53. He graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse High School then served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed at various positions in Syracuse before he secured a position with the U.S. Postal Service. He later transferred to a Post Office in Dunedin, FL and relocated to Clearwater, FL. He remained in Clearwater and with the Post Office until his retirement earlier this year.
The past 20 years were spent with his loving life partner, Debra Trovato and her (his) son Dominick. Debra was at his side when he passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday.
Jack is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Nancy (Dominick) Bello. In addition to Debra and Dominick, he is survived by his three sisters, Ruth (Robert) Hutt, Clare (Richard) Woods and Paulette (Peter) Schillo as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held later this year in Syracuse.
An act of service or contribution to a favorite charity or Suncoast Hospice Foundation is welcomed from those who wish to honor his memory.
