Jackie L. Owens, 57, US Army-PFC-Vietnam War Veteran of Tampa, Florida funeral services are 11:00 AM, Thursday Morning, April 7, 2011 at the East Thonotosassa Baptist Church, 12735 Knights Griffin Road, Thonotosassa, Florida # 33592 with Pastor Jim Brady, to officiate. During the service his daughter, Stephanie Carr will deliver the eulogy and his son-in-law, Justin Carr will provide special music. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 AM until service times.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 AM, Monday, April 11, 2011 at Florida national Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 with Pastor Bill Grishan and the Marion County Military Honor Guard, to officiate.
A Tampa Florida native, Jackie served in the US army during the Vietnam War Era and after his discharge, he became a meat cutter, working many years for U-Save Markets and Food Lion Markets.
Jackie is survived by his wife, Johnnie Owens of Tampa, FL; a son, Eric Owens of Brooklyn, New York; his daughters: Stephanie Carr and her husband, Justin of Tampa, Florida; Shannan Owens of Temple Terrace, Florida; a brother, Howard Owens of Tampa, Florida and two grandchildren: Jackie Imrisek and Katie Imrisek.
