Melinda Joy (Wilson) Bowman,54, of Alexandria, KY, went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday Morning May 14th, 2011.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Duane Bowman; sons, Brett Bowman and Scott Bowman; daughter, Tamara Mallery; grandchildren, Jett, Avery, Wesley and Conner; mother, Dorothy Wilson; sister, Bonnie Darwish; and brothers, William R. IV, Gary, Terry, and Michael Wilson. She was preceded in death by her father, William R. Wilson III.
Melinda spent most of her life in her hometown of Alexandria, KY working as a Laboratory Technician at Bethesda Hospital and Children’s Outpatient Hospital. Linda loved all things outdoors; to mountain bike, rollerblade, frisbee golf, camp, and kayak. She loved the Lord and spent much of the last years of her life studying and praying. Linda enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and was a faithful Christian who exemplified how to live the life to all those around her. Her Legacy will be lived out by all those who were impacted by her faith in the Lord.
Melinda’s Memorial Service will be held at First Assembly of God in Alexandria, KY on Saturday May 21st, 2011 at 10AM. Donations in Melinda’s Memory will be used to purchase the book, “Christ the Healer” by F.F. Bosworth and will be given to those who need healing in their bodies.
