Blair is a licensed funeral director and was the General Manager of the company for 22 years. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Clearwater. The son of a Marine, Blair was born in the Navy Hospital at Quantico, Virginia. Blair and his wife Joyce have 2 children, Richie and Katie and six grandchildren. Blair was elected to the VFC HOF in 2023.
