Bob is the Chairman of the Veterans Funeral Care board. He is a retired and much loved senior executive in Funeral Service. Born in Chicago, as a youth he excelled in sports was an Eagle Scout. He graduated Dowling High, attended St. Louis University, earned a BA from Drake University.

He is an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneers and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Before retirement, he held many senior management positions with International Funeral Services (IFS), San Diego, CA: Pierce Brothers, Los Angeles, CA: Prime Succession, Batesville, IN: prior to co-founding Keystone North America, Tampa, FL, where he served as Chairman of the board, President and Chief Executive Officer. He led Keystone’s initial public offering on the Toronto Stock Exchange in 2005. Prior to his 2007 retirement, Keystone grew to become the fourth largest owner/operator of Funeral homes in North America.

In addition, he was most proud to be instrumental in the re-organization and funding of the Funeral Service Foundation where he served as a long time Trustee including two terms as Chairman.

Following retirement, Bob has chaired the Advisory Boards of PSI Funds, Dallas, TX. And Legacy Management Services, Phoenix, AZ and served as a long time Consultant with Concord Family Services, Chicago, IL, Veterans Funeral Care, Clearwater, FL and Johnson Consulting Group, Phoenix, AZ. Bob still enjoys mentoring “young lions” as they advance their careers and grow their businesses.

He is a member of the Death Care Management Council, and was the surprise subject of an industry “celebrity roast” at the Harvard Club during the 2017 National Funeral Directors Association Boston Convention.

collected Marilyn Monroe art and enjoyed single malt scotch. He is most proud of his son and daughter both earning their Juris Doctor degrees, a goal he could not accomplish.
