Ronald E. Warner Obituary

Ronald E. Warner, 81, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Brookside Hospice House in Palm Harbor.  A funeral service will be held at 2:15 PM on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Bay Pines National Cemetery located at 10,000 Bay Pines Boulevard, Bay Pines, Florida 33744.  Presentation of the American flag and Military Honors will be conducted by the Pinellas County Veterans Council as well as the United States Air Force Honors and Ceremonial Team.  Those attending are asked to assemble at the cemetery between 1:45 PM and the beginning of the service.

Ron was born on October 8, 1933 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Nelson and Margaret (Cook) Warner.  He relocated to Florida in 1974 where he remained a local resident of Clearwater until his passing.  Ron served our nation with the United States Air Force as a Munitions Specialist and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal as well as the Good Conduct Medal.  He later worked as a long distance truck driver. Ron was also a Protestant.

Ron is survived by his loving family: his wife, Carol A. Warner of Clearwater, Florida;  three sons: John Warner  and his wife, Terry of Brandon, Mississippi; James Brown and his wife, Donna of Suwanee, Georgia; and Patrick Warner and his wife, Robin of Palmer, Massachusetts;  three daughters: Christine Goodsell and her husband, Rich of New Boston, Texas; Kathy Murdock and her husband, Stuart of Largo, Florida; and Kristen Nichelson and her husband, Scott of Woodstock, Georgia; twenty grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; as well as a brother: Tom Warner and his wife, Ruth of Westfield, Massachusetts. Ron was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan Johnson, in 2002.
