At St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in DeLand, he served in many capacities including Senior Warden. He enjoyed traveling the United States with his young family, and then internationally with Peggy. He was a life-long learner and avid reader, particularly, of American history. He and Peggy retired to LaGrange, GA, in the late ’90s where they made many new friends and enjoyed many happy times. In 2012 they moved to Tampa for a second retirement, again making new friends and enjoying more happy times.
The family is forever grateful to the loving staff at Canterbury Tower Health Center in Tampa for his care through the isolation of COVID and the quality of life he enjoyed in his later years.
