“So he shepherded them according to the intergity of his heart, And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands” Psalm 78:72 To us this is Chuck and the way he approached life as a soldier, leader, friend, father and husband.
We will miss you our Christian Brother.
Sharon, may God comfort you and your family. You are in our prayers.
Here’s remembering a solid soldier and a good friend. If Chuck was at your side or at your back, you need not worry about that sector. His was an easy manner, ready to offer a suggestion or joke with equal ease. He had personal courage, and displayed judgement under fire. He exemplifies the term “quiet professional”. will be missed.
Chuck we love you and all of your family. You will be missed. Thank you for serving our country that you so loved as well. Rest my borther.
Love you all.

My family and I wish to convey our condolences to Sharon and family. Chuck will be deeply missed by all who knew him. My family and I first met Chuck and Sharon, while living in Navarre, Fl. They treated us like family and continued to do so even after we moved. We have kept in touch while stationed in Germany, Mississippi, and Colorado. My wife and I had some memorable moments with Chuck and Sharon, and will always cherish those. We keep you in our thoughts and prayers!

Sgt Major was an awesome man. I knew him from when he was teaching ROTC in Lecanto. He was a caring and gentle man, but we weren’t supposed to know. He is going to be missed by alot of people, but one day we will all be with Sgt Major. To the family I wish you the best and I know you will miss him terribly, but know he is still with you. God Bless.
We enjoyed the fellowship and serving the Lord with you at Midway and 1st Baptist, Navarre.
Sharon,
I will never forget how thrilled Chuck was to have a part in our Memorial Service at the church a few years back.
Remember that?? I will be praying for you in my daily prayers. Lead hard on the Lord and He will hold you tight in His arms.

“I am standing on the seashore. A ship spreads its white sails to the
morning breeze and starts for the ocean. I stand watching until the
ship fades on the horizon and someone says, “It is gone.”
Gone where? The loss of sight is in me, not in the ship. Just at the
moment when someone says “It is gone,” there are others who are
watching it coming. Other voices take up the glad shout, “Here it
comes,” and that is dying.

Sharon and family,
I arrived at work on Monday 11th of Feb. to recieve the email of the loss of your husband. I am heartbroken for you. I am so glad that I got to meet Charles at the 5th Special Froces Alumni Day, what a smiling and happy man. I also had the pleasure of spending that evening at the formal with him and I have the picture of the two of you in my office which has reminded me to pray for you everyday. Please remember Sharon that if you ever need a place to stay while at Ft. Campbell, KY or just to come visit my door is always open to you and your family as you so graciously offered your home to us. I feel a special bond with you and we connected immediately and I share in your pain. I love you dear and if you ever need Joe or I please do not hesitate to call, we will do what we can. I will continue to pray for you and your family, and I do hope that we will see eachother again. All my thoughts and love to you in this day.

Oh Sharon! I just happened to go online looking for you and Chuck and this turned up! I’m so overwhelmed with sadness, that most of all I haven’t talked to you guys in a while. I’m so sad – you know it goes without saying you and Chuck have always been like surrogate parents. Your love and generous friendship to me and the girls, has for years, been special to me. I just loved the way Chuck always treated me like “one of his girls” and always looked out for me. He just used to crack me up and I am so sad to find out that he is no longer here. I have thought about you both for so long and would’ve loved to have come down there to see you again. Please know, you are in my heart right now and I am grieving with you. I love you dearly and hope this moment finds its silver lining. God brings us grace through grief. Please reach out and email me when you have the chance. I will pray your family finds the peace and strength and courage it needs right now.
Love,
Amy
