I’m going to miss one of the finest souls placed on Earth. Fred and I were friends from CB radio. Because I live just up the road from the VA Hospital we saw each other often following his Dr appointments. We enjoyed talking about our hobby, trading CB gossip and growing old. Which reminds me; Fred told me he was 59 last birthday – I’ll take that up with him one day.
He was a loyal friend to many and respected by all. Our condolences to Kathy and Fred’s family.

As a friend of Kelly, his daughter, I want to send my sympathies to the entire family. I know you all must feel the loss of this wonderful person very deeply.
Please think about his stopping at the Rainbow Bridge to pick up his little friends who went before and are waiting for him there. They will all go in together, healthy and happy.
I am sorry for your loss and hope your happy memories soothe the pain.

Kathy and Family,
I send my condolences and wish you all well. I am sorry about Fred’s death. May God comfort you in your time of neeed. If there is anything that I can help you with, please call. Since Fred was 11 years older we were never very close, as far as cousins go. He probably knew my brother Henry, better. My memory of him included Sunday dinners at his family home in Perrysville and the smell of cherry pipe tobacco. His Dad smoked a pipe you know. Funny how you remember little things.
Blessings to you all.
Jim and Eileen Hollenberger

Death is not easy to deal with, and we have definitly had our share of losses in our family haven’t we? Nikki, Dad, Sonya, etc… When Sonya died I didn’t think I could handle it , and still till this day don’t know how I’m doing it,I lost my baby, my daughter, a child I raised for 24 years, how could this happen to me, our family and why? after Sonya died I didn’t know how I was going to go on but I’am one day at a time! some days are worse than others, but we have to go on with our lives!! We didn’t know Fred that well but he was good to you and that’s all that mattered to me, and from what we did know of Fred he was a good and caring guy! and I know he will be missed! One day at a time!!
Love, Doug and your Sis!
Aunt Kathy,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We are so sorry for the loss of your husband. I know Fred and Fergie are having a wonderful time spending the days playing together. Dear Kathy,
Just received note of Fred’s passing and am deeply saddened. I grew up in the North Hills of Pittsburgh and Fred and I played ball together from Junior High up. He was an outstanding teammate and a friend. On the football field Fred was
We are very sorry to hear of your loss. I got to play a lot of baseball with Fred at several locations around Laurel Gardens and North Hills High School. I remember him as a decorated Eagle Scout and proud of it. I was happy to have made a connection with him by email a couple years ago, wish we could have seen one another. I would like to see some of his animal sketches, as I recall, Fred was left handed like Lionardo Da Vinci.
Kathy

April 19, 2022. I still remember Fred from North Hills High School. He was one of the nicest people I’ve known. I met both his mom and his dad at their home in Laurel Gardens, both nice as could be. I didn’t live too far from there. I remember going to a Pirates game together one time at old Forbes Field. I may have some pictures from high school years if you are interested. I am on Face Book as Linda Berman Waldrum if you want to make contact. I watched him play football (#33) and baseball too, of course when he was hoping to play for the Dodgers. My email doesn’t work…forgot the password. Hope you and your family are well and maybe they have their own growing families. Linda
