67, of Pinellas Park, FL entered into rest Thursday, May 22, 2008 at Bay Pines VA Hospital after a long illness.
Fred was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 6, 1941. He attended North Hills High School.
Fred enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1960 and served four years. He was also an EMT, EMT instructor, and a CPR instructor.
Fred has lived in FL since 1976, obtained his nursing license, and worked as a nurse in hospitals and nursing homes. He enjoyed helping people. He then went back to school and became a certified MDS coordinator. He left Laurel wood Nursing Center in 2003 and retired due to illness.
Fred had a best friend “Fergie”, his Old English sheepdog. She passed away October 2005 at 14. In November 2005, we decided to look for another dog and found “PatC”, a retired greyhound at the Humane Society. Fred and PatC soon fell in love and did not leave each other’s side.
Fred enjoyed fishing, golfing, and talking on his CB radio. He enjoyed sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Fred collected sports cards mostly baseball and football. During his retirement, he sold and bought sports cards on the computer and most recently had taken up sketching animals.
Fred is survived by his wife Kathy Tryner, Pinellas Park, FL, his dog PatC, Pinellas Park, FL, a son Kevin Tryner, Atlanta, GA, a daughter Kelly Pridgen, Aiken, SC, three grandsons-Andrew Eidson, North Augusta, SC, Jeffery Clark Wagener, SC, Christopher Clark, Aiken, SC and one great grandson Ryan Eidson, North Augusta, SC, One step daughter, Melissa Bigelow, Pinellas Park, FL, and one aunt, Irene Bortmess, Zelienople, PA. His father Fred J.Tryner and his mother, Charlotte B Tryner, precede Fred in death.
At the request of Fred, “Fergie” will be buried with him.
Fred will be dearly missed and always remembered and loved in our hearts forever
Memorial service and interment will be Friday May 30, 2008 at 10:45 a.m. at Bay Pines National Cemetery. 10, 000 Bay Pines Blvd, Bay Pines, FL 33744. In lieu of flowers, if desired, you may donate to an animal shelter or animal rescue group of your choice.
