In 1970, after the birth of his only child, Dina, with his first wife Irene (Renee) Blanken, to whom he was married for 18 years and remained friends and loyal partners in raising Dina, he used GI bill funds to get his Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration from George Washington University, graduating in 1972. He served as Associate Hospital Administrator at Bon Secours Hospital in Baltimore for many years. He did the Werner Erhard EST Training in 1979 and loved participating at the Washington DC Center. He left Hospital Administration and joined WE&A staff just before it shifted into Landmark Education Corp in 1990. He moved to Florida for the warm winters and friends. There he connected with the Tampa Landmark community and felt a deep sense of being home. Before he became ill, he worked for the Laser Spine Institute where he was treated him like family. Dear Dina, I was so sorry to read in the Post that your dear father Gary passed away. I grew up with & went to Paul Jr. High with your uncle Larry, & my older sister Barbara Epstein graduated Paul & Coolidge with your father. My mother was very friendly with your grandmother Frances when they lived near 6th Street in Washington, & again in Leisure World also. My sister learned that your father was ill when she went to the recent Coolidge 50th reunion. I remember talking with you & telling you I knew your dad when I had my hair done by Barbara at the beauty shop off Snowden River Pky. 20 yrs. ago. My mother & sister join me in sending you, your aunt Barbara & family our deepest sympathy on your great loss. Sincerely, Janet Epstein Brady, Columbia, Md
