Clifford Steven Tintera, 64, of Clearwater passed away peacefully at Suncoast Hospice Care Center in Palm Harbor on Monday, September 25, 2023. He was born on Mother’s Day, May 10, 1959 at Saint Joseph’s Infirmary in Atlanta, the son of Henry and Anita Tintera.
He moved to Clearwater shortly after his birth and attended schools in Dunedin, played little league baseball in Dunedin, and was a member of Boy Scout Troop 44. Cliff worked in the engineering industry as a field technician for many years and ultimately found his calling as a First Mate on a charter fishing boat. Cliff had a lifelong passion for saltwater fishing and professional sports, and he was a rabid fan of college football, the Buccaneers and NASCAR.
Cliff is survived by mother, Anita; his brother Robert (Karen), his uncle Michael Prendergast (Naomi), many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
A celebration of life will be held on October 21st at 1:00 PM at the Marina Shelter at 110 Veterans Memorial Lane in Safety Harbor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a donation in memory of Cliff to the American Cancer Society.
Very sad news to me today. Just learned the news from just as old of a friend ( Steve Todd ). Hadn’t seen Cliff much recently but it didn’t take anything away from the good old friends that we were! RIP my friend. I hope that I am in town for the C.O.L. My blessings to the surviving!
Rest in peace Clifford , love you bro we had some fun
May Peace always be yours My childhood friend Clifford, Tracey remembers the neighborhood days. CLifford and Bobby were a big part of those 70’s & 80’s times. Clifford you always had a place of friendship in my heart even as miles and lives grew apart. Your SMILE will hopefully fulfill your family’s memories. Sympathy to the family.
Out of tbe blue a memory of Clifford came into my mind and decided to look him up on Facebook. We worked together for a while and where roomates for a short period of time. I was saddened to see that he had passed. He was a great guy with a good sense of humor.
