Ada Marie (Stack) Duke 72 of Tampa, Florida, formerly from North Bend, Nebraska passed away August 21, 2013 of natural causes.
Ada was born May 12, 1941 in North Bend, Nebraska to Paul and Melba (Beeler) Stack. She married Leroy Hand Sr. on June 16, 1956 and they moved to San Diego, California where Leroy was stationed in the Navy. She had a son and two daughters. Leroy was transferred to Whidbey Is and they moved to Oak Harbor, Washington in February of 1963. They later divorced.
Ada married Robert Duke on January 15, 1971. She and her family moved to Midway Island on January 1, 1973. While there she had a daughter. In 1974 when Robert was discharged from the Navy they moved to Tampa, Florida.
Survivors include her husband Robert Duke of Tampa, Florida; Three daughters, Cathy (Gregg) Karmann, Patti (Jerry) Delaney all of Fremont, Nebraska and Robyn (Ty)Scott of Brandon, Florida; Three sisters, Pauline (Alvin) Hand, Bonnie (Harry) Campbell, all of Fremont, Nebraska, and Sue Stack of North Bend, Nebraska. A brother Jerry(Carol)Stack of Fremont, Nebraska; Ten Grandchildren; Seven Great Grandchildren and many Nephew and Nieces.
Ada’s hobbies included jewelry making, Knitting and crocheting, reading, and crossword puzzles. She loved to travel and camp. She has visited Munich, Germany and Rome Italy and many of the states in the US. She also loved spending endless hours with family. Yellow roses were here favorite.
Ada is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Melba Stack, her sister Patricia Longwith, and her son Jim Hand.
