Alfred W. Leacy, 74, of Clearwater, Florida died on Monday, May 25, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on April 2, 1935, the son of the late William and Louise Augee Leacy. Al attended schools locally and enlisted in the US Army and served his country from 1958-1960.
Following his military years, Al was employed as a production manager for a plastics company in Rhode Island until his retirement to Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Plouffe Leacy of Clearwater, Florida; his son and daughter, Brian and Dawn, both of Rhode Island; four step-daughters: Gail LaFort of Rhode Island, Linda Dalti of New Hampshire, Joyce St. Germain and Debbie Eaton, both of Florida; three step-sons: Marc Archembault and Bruce Archembault, both of Rhode Island and Wayne Archembault of Maine; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Military honors will be presented on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 12:45pm from Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida

Al was also the father to the deceased Melody Leacy, his actual daughters name was Dawn E Goulin. He has two actual blood grandchildren, Elissa M. Goulin, Theresa J. Goulin, all of R.I,that he hadnt seen in over 25 years, and one blood great grandchild, Alec A. DelloIacono, that he never met.
