Allen Parker Musgrove, 66 years old, lost his battle with cancer September 13th, 2009, at 1:05am. Allen died peacefully with is loved ones by his side, under the care of Tidwell Hospice and Bay Pines Veterans Hospital in Saint Petersburg, Fl. Allen was originally from Sandy Springs, Maryland and served honorably in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. Allen moved to North Port, Florida in 1968 and lived here the rest of his life. Allen was involved with the area’s development, working all phases of the construction industry. He was admired, respected and loved by all who knew him. Allen was predeceased by his father, George Musgrove Sr. and younger brother John Musgrove and survived by his mother Elizabeth Musgrove, loving wife Trudy Musgrove, five children, Michelle Lagoni, Melinda McDonald, Donald, Allen Jr. and Dean Musgrove, nine beautiful grandchildren; Stephan, Daniel, Hailey, Kaylyn, Austin, Madison, Donald Jr. (DJ), Jessica and baby Alex, brothers, George and Frank Musgrove, sisters, Cora Lee Harvey and Tina Milham. There will be a Military Service honoring him September 23th , 2:00 pm. at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Hwy 72 (Clark Road) and the Memorial Service on September 26th, at 2pm. held at St. Nathanial’s Episcopal Church located at 4200 South Biscayne Dr. North Port, Fl. 34287. The family welcomes a donation to the Church or Tidwell Hospice in Allen’s name.
