Veterans Funeral Care Arie Goudsword

Arie James “ Mr. Goody” Goudsword, T/Sgt-United States Air Force-Vietnam War Veteran-Retired of Tampa, FL died at the Melech House in Temple Terrace, FL on October 27, 2010 from natural causes. His service is 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Bayshore United Methodist Church, 3909 South Mac Dill Avenue, Tampa, FL # 33629 with Dr. John Guedes and the United States Air Force Military Honor Guard from Mac Dill Air Force Base, to officiate.

A native of Everett, Washington and a local Tampa area resident for the past 30 years, “Mr. Goody” retired from the United States Air Force at Mac Dill Air Force Base in 1983 after serving 20 years of active duty working as a hospital medic. “Mr. Goody” then went to work for the Kidney Foundation in Tampa, Florida. He was a Christian, a selfless individual and always giving and loving to all people that he came in contact with. “Mr. Goody” had an insatiable thrust for knowledge and when he passed away, he had over 5,000 book in his personal book collection.

Preceded in death by his parents, Arie and Grace Goudsword, he is survived by his caregiver and friend, Carol Carleto of Tampa, Florida. Please sign the guest book at www.veteransfuneralcare.com.
