Barbara Lynn Harris, Major-US Army of New Port Richey, Fl funeral service is 2:30 PM, Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 with Captain Arthur Nave and the Marion County Military Honor Guard providing full military honors.
A native of New York, NY and a local resident, she served in the US Army as a Nurse then after her honorable discharge, worked as a nurse at the Harbors in Port Richey, FL and different locations for over 40 years in nursing career. She was of the Presbyterian faith.
She is survived by her loving family: a son, Carter L. Harris of Holiday, Florida; a daughter, Stacey Daniels and her husband, William of Richmond, Texas; two brothers, James Kardos and his wife, Janet of North Port, New York and Edward Kardos of Hudson, Florida and one granddaughter, Stacia Daniels of Richmond, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the multiple myeloma research foundation in the memory of Barbara Lynn Harris.
