Barbara L. Wilson, 78, of Springhill, FL, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the HPH Hospice Care Center in Brooksville with her family at her side. She was born in Clarksville, PA, and moved to Springhill in 1985 from Twinsburg, OH.
She was a homemaker that loved her family and was a fanatic about her “BINGO”. She had a license plate on her car that read, “Just Yell BINGO”. She loved to cook and bake and holidays were very special to her. If someone did not have a place to go for a holiday dinner, Barbara invited them to her house to share the time with her family. As a remembrance of her, one of the grandchildren asked for something from her kitchen to have as a keepsake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson; and her parents, Emanuel and Myrtle Perkins. Her sons, Robert of Youngstown, OH, and Scott of Brooksville, FL; daughters, Linda Hamlin (Kirk) of Palm Harbor, FL , and Robin SanFilippo (Chuck) of Chardon, OH; sister, Edith Holmes of Clarksville, PA; and seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild survive her.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00PM on Sunday, September 16, 2012, at the Faith Baptist Church in Waynesburg, PA. That date is of special importance since it would have been the 61st anniversary of Barbara and Robert’s wedding.
