LTC Billy H. Creamer, USA Ret., 76, of Seminole, FL. passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Bay Pines VA Medical Center.
Billy is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley; daughter, Sheila Dale; son, David Creamer; granddaughter, Stephanie Creamer and grandson, Benjamin Creamer.
Billy was born in Trigg County, Kentucky and began his 20-year military career at Ft. Campbell, KY. During the course of his career he served in several duty locations where he was joined by his family, including Maryland, Virginia, Alaska, California, New Jersey, Alabama and Germany. Billy served two tours in Vietnam in service to his country and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Clover and three Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1979 with the rank of Lt. Colonel. After his military retirement, Billy worked at Honeywell Inc. for 15 years in the Space and Strategic division where he worked on many scientific programs including the U.S. Space Shuttle program. After retirement from Honeywell, Billy enjoyed spending time with his family.
Interment will be held with graveside services and full military honors at the Florida National Cemetery at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, August 17, 2012, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell (Exit 309 off I-75).
In lieu fo floral arrangements, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the American Diabetes Association .
