Bonnie Sue Smith, 56, of Tampa, FL passed away on September 2, 2012. Graveside Service at 11:30 AM on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, Florida 33513 with the Marion County Memorial Honor Guard presenting full honors.
A native of Memphis, TN and a local resident since 1980, when she moved here from Alamogordo, NM. She was a Administrative Assistant for the Department of Veterans; a member of Idlewild Baptist Church and a United States Air Force Veteran. During her military career, she was a Materials Facilities Specialist and was awarded a USAF Outstanding Unit Award; a USAF Longevity Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal and obtained the rank of Sergeant.
She is survived by her loving family; her husband, Bernard R. Smith of Tampa, FL; her children, sons; Bernard R. Smith Jr and his wife, Jennifer of Temple Terrace, Florida and a daughter, Devon Bouie and her husband Robert of Dallas, Texas; three sisters; Mary Thomas of Tucson, Arizona; Patricia King and her husband, Jim of Panama City, Florida and Linda Tanner and her husband, Jeff of Tampa, Florida and her five grandchildren: Robert Bouie IV, Jeremy Bouie; Maricela Rivera, Alissia Griffon and Richard Griffon.
