Bruce John Sheppard, 54, of Tampa, was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, and served his country in the US Army.
Bruce went on to a much better life on January 5, 2012, after a brave and couragous struggle with heart disease. To know Bruce was to love him as he totally embraced life with his positive outlook. A very simple man, a cold beer, good food, laughter and good music made Bruce happy. He also was an avid Bucs fan and in true Bruce spirit always remained loyal to them!!
Bruce is now watching over the love of his life, Cheryl Mansfield; mother, Joan Jones; father, Tom Jones; brother, Thomas Joseph Jones; "sister" Sunnie Hartless, many nieces and nephews and friends around the country who meant the world to him, and of course, his beloved Scoobie.
Seeing life through Bruce's eyes was truly a gift to all of us who were lucky enough to know him. Till we meet again Bruce, you will remain in our hearts.
The family would like to thank the nurses and physicians at SJH CCU for the wonderful care you gave our Bruce. Donations in Bruce's name may be made to the Humane Society of Tampa.
He will be interred at Quantico National Cemetery in Virginia.

Msybe you know now what an impact you had on my life!! You were never without “words of wisdom” for me,,,always being here for me when I had a “Sunnie crisis”!!!Watching you struggle was one of the hardest things I have ever done in my lifetime. Letting you go was even harder… You were the bravest man I have ever known but now I am finding peace within, knowing you are ridin’ the big highway in the sky on your bike that you wanted so bad!!One day, I will ride with you!!! I love you Bruce!!
