Grandpa, the good lord broke the mold after he blessed us with your presence. I will love you forever, as I have many grand memories of us navigating and fishing the high seas on many of your boats. Jon Ryan
I was a neighbor of Carlton’s at Jamestown Condos for years. He was one of the sweetest, kindest men. Always a smile on his face and always ready to help out. My whole family loved him and he and his wife Sherry were at my wedding in 1997. My sympathies to his family. He indeed was a special person and will be missed.
To the O’dell family. My sympathy to you all. May your memories of your loved one sustain you in your time of sorrow. My father, George Dillard worked with Carlton & Jimmie at the Independent for many years.
Uncle Carlton was very special to our family. He and Aunt Sherry were young at heart and enjoyed sharing wonderful family memories with them. His great story telling and sense of humor would always bring a smile to our faces. We love him and will miss him. Our sympathy to to Aunt Sherry, Janet and Bill, Sharon and John, Teresa and Jon Ryan.
Love,
Janet, Bill, Heather and Billy
I will always love you and miss you Dad!! You were always kind and caring, and bo, did we all have fun during our times together, especially at the beach, swimming and building sandcastles for hours, Sharon and I jumping off your shoulders into the gulf…all the fun times we had up at the cabin, boating on the river and sharing Sherri’s good meals together! We were all fortunate to have you in our lives for many years! Hugs and kisses, and rest in peace forever, love Janet

Dad, I think about you often, as i did today when i ate watermelon…i know it was one of your alltime favorite foods! When I rub my head outside, after doing yardwork and my hair is shaggy and thick…then I think of you and your beautiful head of hair, how grateful I am that I inherited such good hair, especially now that i’m getting older…you’re with me always, love janet
I couldn’t have had a better father-in-ln-law than Carlton.
He was such a caring and loving person and he seemed to promote that same feeling with others. His stories, jokes and laughter were contageous. HE WAS A MAN’S MAN.
