There were only two men in my life that I called dad and you were one of them, dear dad. It was a pleasure being your daughter-in-law for the past 35 years, God led your son to me and me to you. You were the best father-in-law a girl could ever have and I was truly blessed to know you. I’ll miss our garage sale-ing….you taught me well. I’ll miss your favorite word; “whatchamacallit” forever. Rest in peace, dad. My love goes with you and we shall meet again in heaven.
“A man with a good heart” describes Charlie very well. His absence will give our family gatherings a feeling of loss for some time to come.
Dad there will be moments during the day When you come into our thoughts and hearts, having a bowl of homemade soup with fresh bread or a morning cup of coffee with a cookie or two. It’s so hard to let you go, I love you dad
Dad you will be missed by all who knew you but you will remain in the hearts of all who loved you. You have a special place in my heart where you left me peace, strength and laughter. I miss you everyday. As your favorite saying goes ” I don’t know what to tell you ” just that I love you more Jean
Though the days are long,Twilight sings a song,of a happiness that used to be. Soon my eyes will close ,soon I’ll find repose. And in dreams, you will always be near to me. Rest in peace.
