Charles "Chuck" Frederic Brickey, 69, of Perry, Florida, and formerly of St. Petersburg, passed peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at his home after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, moved to Florida in grade school, and later served in the US Air Force as a mechanic from 1957 to 1960.

He was a tile and marble setter by trade, and in the late 1980’s, moved to his hunting camp in Perry, and continued his trade in the Tallahassee area. In 2005, he retired to pursue his passion of hunting and fishing. Chuck was a Life Member of both the North American Hunting Club and the North American Fishing Club.

He is survived by his five children: Charles Frederic, Jr. of Lompoc, California, Debra Lee White and Scott Keith, both of St. Petersburg, Florida, William Earl of Seminole, Florida, and Angel Lee of Pinellas Park, Florida; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his companion and caregiver, Virginia Jackson; and his four-legged "best friend", Led (yes, as in Zeppelin).

As per his wishes, a Celebration of Life will take place on February 8, 2009 at his home in Perry, Florida.

Arrangements entrusted to Veterans Funeral Care, 15381 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, Florida 33760.
