Linda ~ I read this quote from Helen Lowrie Marshall it is call “After Glow”
I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an after glow
of smiles when life is done,
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing
times and bright and
summer days.
I’d like the tears of those who
grieve, to dry before the sun,
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done. We speak of you guy often and we are glad to call you friends. Take care love, Debbie & Gene
Good heart! Funny and compassionate…..
I still fold my electrical cords the way
he taught me. Bugs Sue though.

Thank you Charles for all the laughs and good times we were fortunate enough to share with you. Your smile, good nature and gentlemen ways will be deeply missed.
During my brief time in Florida I met a few Vets that really get it. You where at the top of the list my friend. I am sorry I cant be there for Linda in body but I will be in spirit. It was always your mission to make sure every veteran had a proper Military send off. You and me had many talks about not how the ceremony should be done but just that it had to be done. As you have for so many the rounds will be fired for you tommorrow in Honor of your service to our country. This fellow Vet wants to thank you for your service and for teaching me what really matters. RIP my friend, Job well done, Welcome home!
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.
-Jennie Henderson (friend of Michele)
Life’s journey will lead you down many paths, the people you will meet and the places you will go, friendships will bond and grow strong. Some people will leave a profound effect on you that will last a lifetime. Great times create long lasting memories. I had that opportunity in this lifetime, that mans name was Charlie Tennell, what can I say about Life’s Journey…Fantastic!

Dear Linda and family
I’m sorry to hear about Charles, My prayers are with you and your family.
As one of the first people I got to meet at the American Legion Post 273, Charles lived and showed just what a Veteran should and could do with in the Legion. I learned, laughed and rode with a true Patriot and Gentleman. Till we ride again (Me on a Harley & You on a Honda) you will be with me in mind, heart and spirit.
I’ll always remember Charles reply everytime I greeted him and asked how he was doing, “Wonderful, just wonderful”. Always with a smile and a chuckle. He was a wonderful friend and I wish we had spent more time with him and Linda. He was a true patriot and a loyal Veteran supporter. We’ll be missing you for now but with God’s grace we’ll see each other again.
Charles & Linda were our first and best friends at Post # 273 after we joined. We were so sad to hear of his passing and we know how linda is suffering at her loss. Our prayers are with her and their family in this time of need!
