Carter, Columbus “John”, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
John was an honored War War II Veteran who’s service in the Army spanned from the beaches of Normandy to the Bulge before returning home.
He was happily married to the love of his life for 56 years. He was a loving father to 8 children, grandfather of 17 and great grandfather of 14.
He was loved and respected and to say that he will be missed is understated. We take solace in knowing that he is now with his daughter, Vicki, among the angels and that he is not gone, he is just away. We love you Pop!

Dear Family, Mr. John and Miss Ann lived in Middlesex, Baltimore, Maryland near us for many years. Mr. John taught me to Bass fish when I was a young boy many years ago. I have fond memories of that. We are saddened to hear of Mr. John’s passing. Our deepest thoughts and sympathy are with Miss Ann and the family.
