Crosby LeRoy Taylor, 67, of St. Petersburg, died on Tuesday, April 26, at the Bay Pines VA Health Care System in Bay Pines, FL. He was born in Teaneck, NJ and moved to the local area in 1998 form Venice, FL.
He served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War era. He worked for Mercedes Benz for many years as a Claims Adjuster. He was a member of various Veteran Service Organizations including the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Am Vets. He was also a Mason. Roy enjoyed his science fiction movies and “never met a stranger”. He was always giving of himself to assist anybody. When asked how he was doing, he would always respond with, "Not bad for a Monday" no matter what day of the week it was.
His parents, Crosby and Jennie Taylor, preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Pernucci of Largo, two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. His ex-wife, who remained a very close friend, Gisela Murphy also survives him.
There will be a Memorial Service at Bay Pines National Cemetery with Military Honors in the near future.

Long, long time ago, this crazy guy from Edgewater NJ use to send me cassetts about the things in Dak To….I still have the tapes somewhere…we drifted apart for whatever reasons, but that was our fate….it was a rough childhood, but you were a survivor and proved things that other people could not have endured……..rest in peace, God wanted me once, but changed His mind, hope to see you when I cross over…
