Derrick E. “Dee” Wortman, 62, of New Port Richey, FL passed away at his residence on March 11, 2008 of natural causes and under the Outpatient Care of the VA Medical Clinic in New Port Richey. A native of Mars Hill, Maine and a local resident since 2000, when he moved to New Port Richey, FL from Land o Lakes, FL; he was an independent fence contractor; a member of the American Legion; a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War Era stationed in Germany.and a avid motor cyclist who rebuilt motorcycles and enjoyed carpentry work. Preceded in death by a brother, Bill Wortman, Derrick is survived by his wife, Mary of New Port Richey, FL; a son, Anthony Paulk of New Port Richey, FL; three daughters, Robin Wortman of West Haven, CT; Mary Lou Valeriano of West Haven, CT and Roxanne Wortman of Land o Lakes, FL; a brother, Jack Kramer and his wife, Penny of Land O Lakes, FL; a sister, Joy Glodek of Titusville, FL and a granddaughter, Ashley Curry and numerous beloved family and friends.
