Weidenkopf, Donald O., 64, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Bay Pines VA Healthcare System.
Born December 14, 1945 in Port of Spain, Trinidad, he lived most of his life in St. Petersburg, FL and was a graduate of Robinson High School, Class of ’65 in Tampa and a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, John O. and Teresita Yvonne (Permuy) Weidenkopf and sister, Sharon Carrero. Survivors include his two daughters, Desiree T. Valdes of Tampa and Antigua A. (Jeff) Metz; son, Donny Weidenkopf II; brother, Gregory; and two grandsons, Tyler and Joshua Metz, all of St. Petersburg.
A graveside service with military honors will be at 10 AM on Wed., Nov. 17, 2010 at Bay Pines National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be sent to Veterans Funeral Care, 15381 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760 in care of the Weidenkopf family.
