Uncle Don was an inspiration to me in my youth and feel unfortuante to have lost touch with him. But I know he is looking down upon all of his family members and will give comfort to them as needed.
When I think of Uncle Don, I always smile. He had a way of always making me feel special.
A highlight of my childhood was when I was 6 years old and Don gave me a HUGE box with hundreds of plastic popsicle sticks in it that you could interconnect and build what I remember as amazing stuff. I was a very happy boy and the envy of the entire neighborhood.
I miss you and our talks. I take solace and comfort knowing we will meet again.
I’ll always remember Donny as a child – that cute chubby cheeked, tow headed little boy who like to play with my pet duck. [ with the duck usually ending up by chasing him around the yard]
Don will always be remembered.
