Dorothy Lee Knapp, 85, of Brooksville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Wednesday, September 12, 2012. She passed at the HPH Hospice House in Brooksville, FL, with her family at her side. She was a Florida native being born in Live Oak.
She graduated from Southeastern Bible College in Lakeland, FL, with a Bachelor’s Degree. She worked as an Operator and Supervisor for GTE and Verizon for over twenty-five years. Dorothy loved her family and also loved to witness to anybody and everybody about her Lord and Savior Jesus. Her favorite scripture was Philippians 1:21, “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
She is survived by her daughter, Dayna Rose of Brooksville; brothers, Lloyd McCall of Live Oak, FL and Barney McCall of Chicago, IL; sisters, Magdalene Minor of Ocala, FL, Lillie Mercer of Live Oak, FL, Eunice Thomas of Live Oak, FL, and Lois Kaminski of New York; four grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be services in Live Oak, FL, scheduled at a later time.
