Doyce “Blackie” Gilbreath, 74, passed away on July 11, 2008 at his residence in Plant City, Florida and surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Attalla, Alabama on April 2, 1934 to the late Luther and Jessie Frasier Gilbreath. Blackie served his country in the Air Force from 1954-1959 and later movced to Plant City. He was employed as a painter for residential construction for many years, and is
survived by his wife Doris “Jean” Gilbreath; his son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Rhonda Gilbreath; four grand-daughters: Tonya Watson, Amber Gilbreath, Kayley Gilbreath, and Kaysey Gilbreath; and many other family members and friends.
Military honors were conducted from Florida National Cemetery on July 15, 2008.
