Correira, Edmund J., 90, of Tarpon Springs, FL passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011 at Brookside Hospice House, Palm Harbor.
He was a winter resident since 1990 from his native New Bedford, MA, moving permanently in 2002. He retired as a meat cutter and manager with First National Stores. He was a navy veteran of WWII, lifetime member of the VFW, and active with the YMCA in New Bedford.
He was preceded in death by his three younger brothers. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Arlene; two sons, Alan of Palm Harbor and Earl of Plant City; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A Mass for the Repose of His Soul will be celebrated at 1 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at St. Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church, 715 E. Orange Street, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
