Edmund Joseph Lyons, 87, died Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island on May 9, 1920, the son of William A. and Margaret McHugh Lyons. Edmund was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and attended the University of Detroit, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was employed as a customer service manager at the Los Angeles passenger reservations for American Airlines for over 35 years, and moved here from Tucson, Arizona in 1977.
Edmund is survived by his friend and personal representative, Rev. Francis H. Dionne, of St. Petersburg, FL; and is predeceased by his parents; a brother, William V. Lyons; and h a sister, Eileen Lyons.
Private services will be held on April 3, 2008 from Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida. Arrangements entrusted to Veterans Funeral Care, 15381 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, Florida, 33760.
