Betty was a active member of the Dunedin Band Boosters and the Dunedin Highland Games Committee. While her children, now totaling five, were preforming with the Scottish bands in Dunedin, performing a half time show, competing at the Scottish Highland Games or just practicing, Betty could be found watching the show and providing the never ending encouragement. When asked what one would remember most about Betty, the remark is often given: “Her Spunk, her desire to help, her generosity and lastly her love and loyalty for her family”.
