DECKER, Elizabeth, 82, of Tampa, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2012.
A native of Melrose Park, Ill., she married Richard Decker in 1950 and moved to Tampa. She enjoyed quilting and gardening, but especially loved being a mother and grandmother. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Richard “Dick”; her mother, Helen Hatley; her brothers, Robert “Sonny” Brandt and Paul “Buddy” Schrilla; and sister, Theresa “Dolly” Rankin. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Candy and Bob Fernandez; two granddaughters, Lisa (Adam) Bovitch and Julie (Ryan) Halstead; two great grandchildren, Robert “Robbie” Decker Halstead and Megan Elizabeth Bovitch; a sister, Dorothy Lofgren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 25th at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL.
