My Dad wanted us to celebrate his life rather than mourn his loss. This is a much more daunting task than we had expected as we miss him so. Nevertheless congratulations on a wonderful life Dad. And thank you so much for your love and of course your service to your country. The world is indeed a better place for having had you in it.
We will truly miss you and love you forever.I am so grateful to you for the unconditional love you gave us and grandma. It is so hard to see you go But I know you are with us in spirit. You have changed our lives forver and the lives of others. You served our country and gave back to the community to make this world a better place. God blessed us when he brought you into our lives , and you will always have a place in our hearts.
Love always and forever
Samantha, Steve , and Savanna
I have never seen someone with so much spirit. You will always inspire me to live my life to the fullest and that will be instilled in my son, your great-grandson and your legacy will live on, forever.
Every time I see a lizard I will think of Grandpop and know that he is thinking of me too. Grandpop never forgot a birthday, regardless of the distance! I will always cherish the long talks he and I shared and I look forward to telling my son Evan about his amazing character and bravery when he is old enough to understand.
Death is a great illusion, for it is of the body only. The personality – self that lives within the walls of flesh is ongoing…..Love ya much Emil…Miss ya.
We will never forget your happy nature, your sense of humor, your love and pride in your family, and your strong work ethic. We love you and miss you, Dad.
What can you say about my grandpop? Words will not do him justice. You really need to meet and know him. Anyone reading this will completely understand. There are no words to describe his personality that wouldn’t make him sound like a character….and sometimes he was quite a character. There are plenty of waitresses in several states that probably remember the night they were in charge of his table. He helped make you forget that you were waiting for your food.
He is truly unforgettable.
I miss you. I love you.
Dear Emil, I am going to miss you so much. You and I had alot of fun together. Even though you were jealous at first because my tool box was alot bigger then yours, so I got one for you and ever thing fell into place. Our time at the hosptial together means more to me then you will ever know.I feel so blessed that I was there for you, like you were always there for us.I will be looking at the night sky with my telescope and I will be looking for the brightest star and I know that you will be looking at me.Thank-you so much for loving all of us and we will love you forever and keep you in our hearts. Love you Emil Stepi your step daughter Debi
The best neighbor than have known in our life
Emil,
Rick and I will always treasure the times we’ve spent with you. Traveling cross country, seeing the sights, or just fishing, we had a great time. We will miss you.

Emil brought so much joy and understanding to my life. He made visiting Grandma Lisa’s house a lot more fun. He taught me to dance, play gotcha last, and what it means to be young at heart. I loved Emil, and send the deepest and sincerest condolences to his family.
I am terribly sorry for your loss. Emil was a wonderful man. He was also a wonderful role model who demonstrated to me when I was a young boy how to enjoy life! He was a very kind and generous human being. I pray that Emil is enjoying the bountiful fishing holes God has stocked for him in Heaven!
Our deepest sympathies on Emil’s passing. For uncountable years, Emil and us fished and celebrated many holidays together. We were delighted to find him happy and enjoying life at Lisa’s funeral. We took many trips together, and Emil was always the kindest, most generous person. The world needs more men like Emil. Thank you for giving him the happiness he so rightly deserved. Many God bless.
