Veterans Funeral Care Errol Kelly

Errol Glen Kelly, 73, of Lake City, Florida went to his heavenly home on February 3rd, 2013.

Errol was born on October 20th, 1939 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Joseph Gabriel and Vivian (Stricker) Gabriel.  He served his country honorably as a proud member of the United States Air Force. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Sandra; daughters, Toni L. Kelly Paulk (Joseph) and Deborah L Kelly-Cook (Ricky); beloved grandchildren, Kelli, Jonathon, Christopher, Steven, Carl, Devin and Ashley; brothers, James, Kenneth and Raymond; ten great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Kelly (as everyone affectionately called Errol) was dearly loved by his family and will be forever missed.

Errol spent his formidable years in Cincinnati, Ohio where he played high school basketball at Norwood High School and the trumpet in a three man band. Errol enjoyed working on his hot rod and attending the drag races. He dearly loved his three younger brothers and always tried to be a good father figure for them.

Although small in stature, Errol was quite an athlete. He excelled at bowling (bowled several perfect games) and golf (made one hole-in-one). Although Errol had many accomplishments in his life his greatest source pride was his grandchildren.

Due to heath issues in Errol’s later years he moved from South Florida to North Florida but he remained a loyal Miami Heat and Miami Dolphins fan.

Errol you were a faithful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, rest in peace with the angels until everyone is together again in God’s heaven.
