Evelyn : My Buddy, My Friend and sister in Christ. I will miss you so much. Such a loving ,caring and Gentle person. Evelyn was my homegirl at PODS I will never forget the wonderful times we had together. she always have a way to cool me down when I had a difficult day and with her sweet smile I enjoy ever moment being with her. I remember always playing goofy tricks on her like pushing the button on the bottom of her computer chair in the middle of a call as the chair would quickly fall down. she would look at me and say MILLY! she would always love to share half her bagel with me. I loved her so much and ther’e are not enough words that can express my lost of a dear Friend.I pray that our Loving father conforts all who are hurting. but the great thing is that we will see each other again as she sits near our Loving God enjoying his presence. Matthew 10: 40-42 I will always love you.
Farewell, good friend.
My deapest condolences to Evelyn’s family. I was a co-worker of Evelyn’s. We will miss her very much. She was a great lady and loved by all.
Evelyn was a breath of fresh air. Always in a good mood and full of smiles. I remember when I had to help out in Platinum the dept she worked in at PODS and no matter how many questions I had she always stopped to help. I can truly say she was a very sweet person who will be missed by me. I just want the Lord to comfort the family in this time and know that we will see her again if we live the way God wants us to. Remember being absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. We loved her but he loves her best. Stay strong and keep all the happy warm times close to you heart for they last always…
We all shared special moments with Evelyn here at Pods. She is and will be greatly missed. I wish her family the best of strenght in coping with the lost of such a wonderful person. She will always have a special place in my heart.
You never said “I’m leaving”
You never said goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knew why
A million times we’ll need you,
A million times we’ll cry
If Love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died
In Life we loved you dearly
In death we love you still
In our heart you hold a place
That no one will ever fill
It broke our heart to lose you,
But you didn’t go alone
For part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.
As part of this family through grandchildren it has sadden us so to hear of Evelyn’s passing. Our hearts are hurting for her entire family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we will miss her very much.
It was always a joy to receive a call from Evelyn when she would reach me here at PODS in Washington DC. we always found a way to forget about work and chat for a couple of minutes. She was a pleasure to know for the 2 years i have been here. I know there was great sadness at her work when the news broke and there was sadness here in DC with me as well. My heart felt sorrow goes out to her family. God Bless.
Evelyn was a true friend, mother, grandmother, wife and co-worker who brought joy and happiness to everyone she touched, each and every day. Her quiet demeanor hid her true caring and special way of helping others. Although she will be truly missed, we find comfort in knowing that she is now watching us from above.
My sincere condolences go to the friends and family of a wonderful friend and colleague. Evelyn Martinez-Elkin remains a wonderful, full of life and happiness person that brightens everyoneâ??s life that she came across. She will be missed but not forgotten.
left way to soon, you are greatly missed, she always kept a smile on my face
Evelyn lived her life on earth as a precious Child of God and she brought joy to all she touched. Unfortunately for the rest of us, our dear Lord took her home much sooner than we wanted. We miss her dearly and pray for comfort for her family and friends as we all move forward without her. Our greatest joy can only be that we will meet again in His holy presence. There is indeed “Victory in Jesus, my savior forever. He sought me and bought me with his redeeming blood. He loved me ere I knew him, and all my love his due him. He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.” He lives and therefore, by His grace, we also live!
Dear friends and family,
I was deeply saddened to hear about the death of Evelyn. I know how difficult this must be for you and I want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Evelyn was such a kind, gentle soul and she would do anything to help someone in need.
I remember on several occasions that I would get her confused with Millie, who also worked with us at PODS. When I would pass by her and say “Hi Millie”, she would still reply as if it was her name. This went on for quite some time before she corrected me and we would laugh about it thereafter.
I know how much you will miss Evelyn but I encourage you to draw on your strength and the strength of your friends and family.
May God bless you and your family during this time and always.
my deepest condolences to the Elkin family and those you worked close to her. A lost in the pods family is never easy.Even when we live 250 miles away.May the blessing of God be with the family
I had the pleasure of working with Evelyn at PODS. She was truly always a genuine pleasure to be around and to work with, always so willing to help with a smile on her face. She will be missed, my condolences to her family.
Evelyn was like a mother to me. Kind, sweet and never judgemental. I felt comfortable in her presence. She was and still is a great person and I will miss her giving me great hair styles when she would cut my hair. I know she’s in the place she worked so hard to get to. I love and will miss you Evelyn….
