Dads have sons
Which carry on their names
There are two heads
But
One and the same
Sometimes they might dis-agree
They are so much alike that
They just dont see
It doesnt change the love they share
Sons know that dads
Will always be there
To guide and lend a helping hand
Untill one day…..the son
Becomes his own man
So I write this poem about my dear dad
He has cross over to another land
Where he`ll rest in peace
With no more pain
But .. for the son…………Me
Things wont be
Quite the same
Memories in my mind
Of times we shared
As I think…………….
Drops another tear
So I Feel
Happy…Proud…and …Honor
To carry on his name
So dad lives on in me now
Because
We are one and the same
Ya ……. dads have sons
Which carry on there names
There are two heads
But one and the same
I Love You Dad and I Miss You
It has been an honor for me to care for Floyd O. Arnel. Veterans Funeral Care offers our condolences to you and your family.
Floyd was my first born child and brought so much happiness into our lives. I feel so blessed and proud to have a son like him. He was compassionate and was always there to help in a time of need. I will always remember that every Easter he would come walking in with a big smile carrying a potted Easter Lilly for me. I will always cherish his sweet memories and he will never be forgotten.
I Love you Floyd.
Three little boys, four, five and six, full of mischief, creating fun and getting “in trouble.”
Floyd could make up games day or night â?? even with a piece of string. We all three slept in one big bed where he would tell stories about his created character â??Stuck in the Britchesâ?? that made us laugh into the night.
Always competing, but we knew he was the boss. He protected us from â??ourselvesâ??.
There is so much more I remember about our childhood but to summarize it, we had fun!
In loving memory of my big brother, Floyd.

Floyd always knew how to do things rightâ?¦..read the directions first! He was always telling me to slow down and always warning me about leaving gardening tools with the sharp edge up. We had so much fun being competitive with everythingâ?¦especially
The last few years I only saw Floyd when I came to Florida on vacation. He always met me with a big hug and smile, and always gave me encouragement to build up my confidence. Floyd knew how kids thought and knew how to motivate them into feeling proud of them selves. I remember him telling my daughters â??aw, youâ??re just a girlâ?? and that would instantly encourage them to get moving. We would all laugh as we watched them showing us how strong they were. When they think of him, a smile comes to their face.
One little special memory I will never forgetâ?¦.he taught me how to tie my show laces.
My brother got to heaven first, but we will all see him again some day.
I Love you Floyd,
Your Sis, Brenda
Loving memories of my big Brother Floyd
My brother Floyd has passed on to a better world above,
A place of peace and happiness
filled with everlasting love.
But we that’s left feel very sad
a part of our life is missing,
But there is a way to keep him around
with happy thoughts reminiscing.
I can reminisce a lot of fun times
with my guitar strumming out tunes,
And there would be Floyd clicking away keeping a perfect beat with the spoons.
I can close my eyes and picture him
smiling and laughing with glee,
Seeing pictures of my tomato bush
while he’s growing a tomato tree.
Now that I’ve started I can go on and on
I really feel Floyd is here,
He will do it his way and I’ll do it mine
And that’s to pop a top and toast a beer.
So my dear family don’t be so upset
we will all see him again someday,
And he will be grinning with open arms
so proud that he lead the way.

So sorry Rita that you have lost a precious part of your loving family. We know he is in a better place than in this mixed up world we live in. We will miss him.
Love, Chuck and Linda
I am very sad that I will not be able to see Floyd again. I loved Floyd like a father. I do take solace knowing that Floyd will not be suffering or in any pain.I have a lot of great memories of Floyd.
Rest in Peace you will be missed.
Dear Rita, Kathrine and family, so
sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of getting to know him on a few occassions. One I remember well was an afternoon when we sat in Rita’s garden, relaxing and having an animated conversation about the stock market, investments, the government and social security. What I enjoyed about him mostly, was his passion about his beliefs. As we all kmow he had very strong opinions but he was also open to listening and condsidering what I had to offer. It was interesting and informative and the time flew by….In many ways he he was a very remarkabe man. Knowing that he is in a better place is comforting. Love and blessings
Dear Chuck and family,
I’m so very sorry for your loss.
We had great conversations about our military experiences. We laughed about the views we shared, and he had great stories…
He has a very special place in my heart, and is very much missed.
I Am Rested in His Arms
I am gone to see my Creator
and the home He made for me:
still, your heart is here inside my own,
where always it will be.
I am far beyond pain and suffering,
yet, never away from you.
and ’er your thoughts would turn to me,
my thought is full upon you.
In my new home of joy and love
I’m safe from any harm:
and God is here and here I reside
and I am rested in His arms.

My fondest memories with Dad were the times that we had together when I lived in Florida. We enjoyed times at Maderia beach collecting star fish, tours of his potted garden that he loved so much :-, Kentucky Fried chicken dinners thanks to Dad and my favorite…enjoying the Holidays together at Aunt Rita’s by coming together to enjoy a great meal and enjoying each others company by the pool. I will never forget those happy times Dad. You are missed!
All my love- Your daughter -Dawn

I have known Floyd……..and you…. and Rita…for over 60 years. For all those years…….every time I eat CHOCOLATE PUDDING……..I think of Floyd.
Rita and I were about 12 years old……you left the house and told him to fix us lunch.
He made a box of CHOCOLATE PUDDING…….boiled it…and poured it over a slice
of white Wonder Bread……Rita and I ate it.and asked for more.
And that memory of Floyd has been a part on my life for all these years.
I am sure that your loving memories of your dear son will help sustain you
in this time of deepest sorrow.
Sincerely,
Tommy Cathey
