Marion, please first let me offer condolences on your dad’s passing. Remember that skinny blonde kid your dad gave a job to and looked after like a second father when he was twelve? It’s me. I have often thought of your dad over these many years. Ihave so many wonderful memories of him. In a lot of ways I’ve followed in his footsteps. I’ve been a single dad for almost 7 years now and have fed my boys’ friends, helped them with cars, parents, jobs, and most of all, growing up. That comes from your dad. He always tried to be there when mine wasn’t! I am so sad that I didn’t know he was so close in proximity. I’ve been in Land O’ Lakes since ’89, Tampa since ’73. Oh I so wish I had known! I owe him so much! My phone 813-361-2224, call if you need anything, please. I will do all in my power to make it thursday, this is my busiest 2 week period of the year (I own a trophy & awards business) but I’ll TRY my damndest! I guess you’re not that skinny little cute kid that used to walk up to the deli with your mom anymore. Love, Bruce, BBOG (your dad gave me that nickname), Boggy
Dear Marion, Your father and I were Warsaw classmates, played baseball together, and shared physical disabilities. We were last together for our 50th class reunion and did have telephone conversations about his coming to our 55th, 2 summers ago. While distance separated us, we still kept in touch through the years. I share your loss. Charlie Ker
Marion,
Was very sorry to hear about your father’s passing. I only heard about it last night. (June 26th) I will never forget how supportive he was when my father passed away. Hope things are well with you.
