Gail A. Rose, 76, of Dunedin, FL, died peacefully in his sleep at his home on December 10, 2013.
Born October 8, 1937 in Laingsburg, Michigan, Gail entered the U.S. Air Force after high school and servedas an air traffic controller in England and on active duty in avionics in Vietnam. He later completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business and pursued graduate studies toward his Master’s Degree. After retiring, Gail worked as an engineer with Westinghouse in Sumter, SC and Deerfield Beach, FL, coordinating major projects at sites including Kennedy Space Center’s Vehicle Assembly Building, Walt Disney World, and Tampa International Airport.
Gail was a Guardian Ad Litem and member of Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater, Dunedin-Clearwater Elks #1525, and American Legion Turner Post #7. He was an avid golfer and ballroom dancer.
He is survived by his son, Michael; daughter, Debra; grandson, Daniel; two brothers, Ervin and Darwin; sister, Margaret; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends are invited to share memories at a Celebration of Life on Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater, followed by a light reception. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760, http://thehospice.org/donate.
Military services will be held in Michigan at a later date.
