George F. Buskirk, 84, of North Fort Myers, FL formerly a 30 yr resident of Bellingham, MA passed away on Tues., April 1, 2008 at his daughter’s home in Pinellas Park, FL under the care of Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.
Born in Martins Creek, PA, he moved here from No. Carolina in 1998. He retired as foreman for AEC Engineering in North Uxbridge, MA after 22 years in 1986. He was previously Vice President and Treasurer of Clentimack Corp. of No. Attleboro, MA and worked as a machinist for Textron Corp. of Rhode Island. He was member and past master of Morning Star Lodge F&AM of Providence, RI, and member of the Araba Shrines of Ft. Myers, FL. He was an avid golfer and traveler. He was preceded in death in 2002 by his wife of 31 years, Eva, and sister Ida Rubers.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Ann Perkins, Pinellas Park, FL; son, George Timothy Buskirk, Lincoln, ME; three stepsons and two daughters; two brothers, Robert F., Nevada and Howard A., Vashon, WA; four grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, George requested contributions be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
