George N. DeBoer, 78, of Largo died Thursday, May 22, 2008. He was born in Paterson, New Jersy, the son of the late Nicholas and Lena Botbyl DeBoer. George was a Navy veteran during the Korean War era and later was employed as a meat cutter for Grand Union and Kash & Karry before his retirement. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan, of Largo; his daughter, Diane and husband Michael Kraujalis, of St. Petersburg, FL; his son, Nicholas and wife, June, of Grand Rapids, MI; his brother, Robert and wife Dorothy, of Oakland, NJ; his sister, Joy and husband Rich Anema, of Grand Rapids, MI; his sister-in-law, Kristin Meekhof, of Fenton, MI; and his grandchildren: Leeann, James, Karen, Jonathan and Jenna. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Roy. Memorial services will be held Monday, May 26 at 3pm from Pine Grove Community Church, 9200 49th St. N, Pinellas Park.
